i'm writing early and short tonight because i'm actually going out on a date ... with my own boyfriend.

mr. blog is taking a long weekend from his job some three hours away from nashville to come here and see some old friends. and me. and we're actually going to go out to eat tonight, if he ever gets here and i don't eat my hand before then.

i love feeling like we're a normal couple with a normal life because we so aren't that. we both worry that if and when we ever manage to live in the same town that we're going to hate each other. but we do so well when we are together, and we do pretty well when our relationship is reduced to a daily phone call and gmail chat at work, so i'm not worried.

i'm not sure where we're going and what we're going to do tonight, but i definitely don't work tomorrow, bonus, and he's also promised to do what he can to sweep me off my feet, though he claims i make such action impossible. probably true.
