you outta know

Lonnie's is a honky tonk karaoke bar in the printers alley area of downtown nashville. i go there occasionally for a good time. it probably doesn't take much to figure out that mostly country music is sung at this bar.

tonight a very pretty girl got up. my friend jay later said he had pegged her as one to sing a shania twain or gretchen wilson tune. oh no. instead, she did her very best alanis morrisette impression of 'you outta know.' it was very good, but not entertaining at all. when she was done, she just walked out of the bar by herself.

i'm still not sure if it actually happened.
