project runway

i finally saw the first episode of the new season of Project Runway, only about a week late (that's why i like Bravo, they show one episode of any particular show at least 40 times a week so that even people like me can manage to catch it at least once.)

the challenge required the designers to use items found in their apartment to design a dress. they were given 15 minutes to rip apart matresses, cut down curtains, remove light fixtures -- whatever they wanted to use for their design.

the best part of the whole episode? when they were done designing, they went back to their apartment, and everything was just as they had left it. some designers had nowhere to sleep. there were no curtains to block the outside. it was hilarious.

the worst part? the hat made out of what appeared to be a mixing bowl or a flower pot.
