as i've said before, a lot of crap has gone wrong with my relocation to a new home. i'm trying to avoid bitching about it all, but i would like to share with you the most unique problem i've had to date.
when i moved in, i was told that the box where my lockable mailslot was located was only a temporary box, and that a fancy-schmancy mail center would be built nearby. basically that mail center is just a little hut with a whole lotta mailslots and some actual lighting in the middle of the expansive un-streetlight-lit construction zone.
well, the new mail hut is done, and i noticed the other day that i was no longer getting any mail in my original mailslot. the problem is, no one has provided me with a key to the new mailslot. and now, the old box is completely gone. without a trace.
mind you, before i moved, i'd never ever been late on a bill. i have now been late on about five bills thanks to my postal service, well, going postal.

I know the frustration you speak of. When we decided to move out to BFE, we went to a home that was once my father's. He had opened a convenience store next door. Stores box #10125. House #10127. He just used the store address for everything personal and business. Well time passed (about 10 years) and he sold the store and moved. When we went to have utilities turned on and so forth, we were told that #10127 did not exist. Even by the post office that it didn't...I said damn it people, I live there, all my stuffs there, and I'll take you there and show you the mailbox if you wish!
After about 2 years all of our mail started showing up where it should!
