i realize this is merely a web site that seems sort of cheerleadery in the efforts of eliminating poverty. but there is an attempt to organize people into local efforts of fighting poverty, which is always a good thing. but the point is, poverty is a very real, very huge problem. and there's no reason for those of us with so much to not make an effort to fight it. so i do recommend signing one's declaration, but only if you're really committed to going out and doing something about it (and i hope you are).
if you live in nashville, please consider this very worthy organization. some very wonderful people make hands on nashville run, and it's a great way of finding out what you can do to help. i've gotten seriously involved in some feeding the homeless projects through hands on nashville, and i'm so glad i did. there are some hands on organizations in other cities too, so just google it if you're interested.

Hi! I work with the ONE Campaign and I just came across your blog, and I wanted to say thanks for the post regarding ONE. I also wanted to see if it might be possible for ONE to add your blog to our list of supporters? We're currently in the process of updating and restructuring our blog page,in an effort to build up the poverty/AIDS blogoshpere, and we would love to add yours to our list. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have, at: meagan@data.org. Thanks again for your support, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
