happy birthday, panda

it's tai shan's first birthday today. i've been keeping an eye on the panda cam, and so far i've seen him attack a giant fruitsicle he was given in lieu of cake. he also spent some time climbing on (and falling off) a tree limb, rolling around on the ground and napping. i only hope my birthday is as exciting.

and because i don't want d.c.'s panda to get more lovin' than my hometown pandas, here's ya ya and le le's panda cam at the memphis zoo.
